August 27 @ 11:00 am - 2:00 pm

Veterans Day on the Lake – Accessible Boating & Fishing
Wednesday, August 27 | 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Kent Lake, Kensington Metropark
Wheels in Motion is partnering with the Detroit VA Medical Center Recreation Therapy team, U-MAISE, and the Michigan DNR for a special day on the water—designed just for our area Veterans. We’ll be out on Kent Lake at Kensington Metropark offering barrier-free boating and accessible fishing in a peaceful, welcoming setting.
This event is all about connection, fresh air, and the kind of freedom that comes with a rod in hand or a boat ride on the lake.
If you’re a local Veteran and would like to join us, please reach out to Christine or Billy at 810-215-9799. We’d love to have you with us.
